Could You Give Just 1 Saturday a Month? 

We’re looking for warm, compassionate volunteers to support our Family Time Sessions, where children reconnect with their non‑resident parent or family member in a safe, neutral space. Your presence helps families feel welcome, respected, and supported during moments that can really matter. 

As a volunteer, you’ll be: 

• A friendly face greeting families as they arrive 
• A calm, steady presence when emotions run high 
• Someone who offers reassurance, kindness, and the occasional tissue 
• Part of creating an environment built on positivity, empowerment, trust, and safety 

If you’re someone who brings warmth and steadiness, and you can spare just an hour a month, we’d love to have you join us.

Self-employed Family Time Supervisor

Are you available during the day, evening or weekend? 

Do you have a passion for supporting children and families during important moments of connection? We’re looking for Family Time Supervisors who can bring warmth, professionalism, empathy, confident guidance and a strong commitment to child welfare. 

As a Family Time Supervisor, you’ll support safe, positive family time between children and their non‑resident parent or family member. You’ll help create an environment where everyone feels respected, supported.  

What You’ll Need 

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education (or equivalent qualification) 
• Minimum 36 hours’ experience working with children in a childcare or social services setting 
• Strong communication skills with children, families, and professionals 
• Confidence in mediating disputes and handling sensitive situations with empathy 
• Reliability in managing bookings, venues, and resources 
• A clear commitment to safeguarding and ensuring children’s well‑being 
• A warm, friendly presence that upholds dignity and respect for every family
